Question
My husband is in his forties and works
away from home. He only comes home at the weekend
and whenever he is home he goes drinking every
night.
When he comes back home, i always noticed the string
of his trousers badly twisted up. Frustrated and not
been able to loose it, he goes into the bed with it
and drops off to sleep and promptly wet the bed.
Is this common or does he have a problem? oour last
child is three year old and her father wets the bed
than she does.
What can i do?
Answer
Your husband's abuse of alcohol and the problems it
brings is tearing your marriage apart.
For every alcoholic who can't recognize that they
losing the battle to booze, there are friends and
spouses who aid and abet their denial by refusing to
admit that it is a serious problem
By drinking heavily when he is home, your man is taking
away from your marriage the little time you should be
spending together since he comes home only on
weekends.
Your husband is definitely married to his bottle
and has ceased to function as a father and husband.
Point out his bad behavior, let him know the implication
to your marriage and family.
Offer him support. Discuss ways for him to spend more time at
home and become a fully functional part of the family.
Bed wetting in a man, unless he is sick or have weak bladder
is not normal and you should refuse to treat his abuse of alcohol
as acceptable.
